... but not for the reasons I expected. Have not been able to make the video I wanted, as I forgot to realize I normally edited on Windows using OpenShot, which started to fail often. Tried DaVinci, but then realized after returning that machine that I was not able to use DaVinci on Bazzite. I am still waiting on replacement hardware. Shortages have caused this to take much longer.
Anyway, haven't been able to do a lot these days as I didn't feel so great. At least have a backlog of stuff I want to do. Read about this on Patreon, but it involves the idea of a gamne engine amnd generative music based on gameplay, in a Wipeout-like race style.
Music that changes with gameplay has been done since the early days, notable examples are the iMuse engine from LucasArts or Virtual Theatre as used in Revolution games, especially Broken Sword did this well with the music when you open the lid of the trashcan in the alley near the cafe.
I am curious which games you remember for their gameplay and musical interaction. If you want, join the discussion on my Discord.
